Did you see us on AM Extra?

Bells of the Cascades was recently invited to appear on Portland news program KOIN AM Extra to promote our upcoming Holiday concerts, and Matthew Compton and Board member Allison Coiteux-Platt did a great job of representing us. Along with a couple of short clips from our most recent rehearsal, Matthew and Allison talked with hosts Emily Burris and Travis Teich to provide an overview of our repertoire and handbells in general. Watch the video above for this very lively interview!

They also discussed our "Music Nourishes" initiative, in which we will be collecting donations of food and personal care items at our upcoming concerts. These donations will be collected and provided to Esther's Pantry in Portland.

If you are planning to attend one of our concerts, a donation to Esther's Pantry will give you a $5 discount off of our normal admission of $20! Here are items that are particularly needed:

FOOD* WISH LIST: Tuna Fish, Coffee, Cereal, Canned Corn, Canned Fruit (other than Peach or Pear), Sugar, Soups, Canned Entrée  Items (such as Ravioli, Spaghetti, Chili), Pasta, Baking Mixes (such as Cake, Cookie, Pancake)
*Current or slightly expired accepted

PERSONAL CARE ITEMS WISH LIST: Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Body Wash, Toilet Paper, Pet Food (Cat and Dog)

We invite you to get into the "The Spirit of the Season" and participate in our initiative. We will make sure your generous donations get to Esther's Pantry and you will be able to bask in the beauty of the bells!
