Wow—what an incredible December we had! Thank you for the food donations!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who joined us for our concerts. Seeing so many of you at Salmon Creek United Methodist in Vancouver, WA, and Westminster Presbyterian in Portland, OR, was truly magical. The energy, the warmth, and the shared love of music made each performance something we’ll never forget.
Our theme, "Spirit of the Season," was more than just a name—it came to life in every note we played and in the generosity of our audience. We were absolutely blown away by the amount of food and personal care items donated to Esther’s Pantry, Oregon’s first LGBTQ+ affirming shopping-style food pantry. Your kindness will go a long way in helping those in need, and we are beyond grateful to be part of such a compassionate and giving community.
Musically, this year’s concerts were a joy to perform. From the uplifting "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" to the serene beauty of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," and of course, the electrifying "Carol of the Bells," every piece carried the spirit of the holidays.
One of the most heartfelt moments was our tribute to past BOC members with "Commemoration of the Spirit" by William Payn. Music has a way of keeping memories alive, and this dedication was a reminder of the incredible people who have been part of our journey.
As we move forward, we can’t wait to continue this tradition of donation with all of you. Thank you for filling our hearts with joy, for your generous donations, and for sharing in the magic of music with us. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can come together and create something beautiful.
With love and gratitude,
Jim Troisi - BOC President 2024-2025 Season
