Music has been a passion and profession for Kris all of her life. She had a 30 year career teaching music in the public schools. She also taught piano privately since she was 17. Upon her retirement from the schools, she opened a music studio called "It's Never Too Late!" which focused on teaching adults, many later in life, to play piano. Kris has also shared her music skills with many churches, playing keyboard and directing choirs. Currently she attends Westminster Presbyterian in Portland where she plays piano for Healing and Wholeness services. Aside from piano, she played clarinet in the Lake Oswego Millennium Band for over 20 years.
She now considers herself fully retired! Hobbies include gardening, reading, and playing piano duets with her piano partner of 14 tears. Kris is married to her wife, Martha Wilson, who also rings in Bells of the Cascades.
