Sharon Ross is a lifelong musician, primarily playing the oboe with the Beaverton Symphony. Her musical journey took a delightful turn in the mid ’80s when she was introduced to English handbells at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Beaverton. Since that time, she has played with Westminster Presbyterian Church in Portland, Pacific Ringers, and Bells of the Cascades. Bells hold a special place in Sharon’s heart, as they foster close relationships and require a unique camaraderie among the thirteen people who come together to create beautiful music. Joining the Bells of the Cascades is a new and exciting step in an amazing journey. Her general feeling is music is about fun, connecting with others, and the sheer joy of making the bells sing.
