Malinda attended bell choir rehearsals at an extremely early age because her mom played handbells.  She began ringing handbells in junior high where her mom was the director at United Church of Christ in Santa Barbara. Malinda was hooked and continued to play handbells regularly wherever she moved.

Malinda rang with BOC for 15 years between 2002 and 2017, loving every moment of it.  She took a hiatus from BOC to spend more time with her family.  She is excited to be back ringing with BOC in the 2025-2026 season.

When not ringing bells, Malinda tutors those who struggle to read due to dyslexia and also teaches.  She also loves gardening, canning, and, of course, spending time with her family.
